Mixed media Book cover

Hi Everyone,

I have a mixed Media layout today on my blog.

I have made this Diary cover for my 9 year old daughter.I have tried incorporating all her favorite things like colors, flowers and sentiment.

She loves pink like most of her age kids, combining with soft green and grays gave me better chance to enhance the whole look.

Here is my layout

How I made it:

I have taken a rectangular cardboard for my work and painted in soft grey for almost 3/4th of the panel. Then  I stamped Simon Says Stamp "You Are" background stamp set from Love you more release in pumice stone distress ink.

For the 1/4 bottom panel,I covered some portion with her quilled circles. For the remaining portion ,I mixed heavy gel with Raspberry Lemonade Magicals from Lindy's  to make a paste and applied .

Then I used Lindy's Flat Fabio sprays for the background both in soft pink and soft green color.

I adhered some handmade fabric flowers with leaves and adornments with a resin window panel.

I also applied some snowflake paste on top part of the panel sides.

I have these products:

Caffeinated Bookmark

Hi Friends,

I am Caffeinated☕☕...Made this bookmark for myself 💁👩... Amidst so much of house work and COVID chaos, I definitely need some peace.

We need hugs, virtual ones will also do in the current situation..so to hug my brain,I think COFFEE would be a good choice..

I am laying my hands on some Sudha Murthy kids classics,my elder one is a big fan of her writings and finds these so interesting and intriguing. I borrowed some from her and now enjoying these 🥰😇 I have used Altenew Coffee love stamp set along with Tim Holtz stencil.

I have used distress ink for the background and stenciling . I have used Hero arts black ink for stamping.I completed the bookmark with an eyelet and ribbon.

Hope you liked it.

Read all of it !!

Hi Everyone 🙋

Do you too have some happy accidents 😀...I always tell people,in crafting there are no mistakes, just happy accidents 😅

So the background has a story, I finished my Design team post for Tubby Craft ( If you have seen my past few posts, there is a rainbow stenciled card) I was cleaning the stencil which had good amount of inks, I sprayed with water and was picking it up to clean...OOPs, it fell on a brand new card stock🙄...I felt terrible for maybe 30 seconds and then I had an idea....I pressed the whole stencil gently on the whole sheet... Hurray💃💃..I have a soft rainbow stenciled background.

Here's my card

To complete my card I have used Jane's Doodles stamp set "Read all about it", sentiment is from Newton's Nook Designs "My type" stamp set

Hope you enjoyed the card.

Thanks for stopping by.

To BEE or Not to BEE Blog Hop

Hi Friends!!

Happy World Bee Day!

I am honored to BEE a part of 4th "To Bee or Not to BEE" blog hop.

This hop is hosted by Milka, to celebrate 3rd World Bee Day, to support bees along with their protection,to raise public awareness of the importance of bees and beekeeping, and benefits of using agricultural products for our health.

Milka has rounded up bloggers, sponsors and prizes, too!!A Blog Hop wouldn't be as fun without some prizes up for grabs and this one is no different!! So hop with us,learn about the importance of BEES and comment to win prizes from these generous sponsors.

HERE is my creation for the hop,

I have used Honeycomb stencil from Heidi Swapp for the background and inked in squeezed lemonade distress ink.

I have used "BEE FRIENDS" stamp set from one of our kind Sponsor "Pretty Pink Posh" for the flowers, bees and the sentiment.

I stamped the sentiment directly to the white base in Black Memento ink.The flowers and bees images are stamped on separate card stock and water colored using Zig markers.

Let's see why we are celebrating BEE DAY

In 2018, the UN designated May 20th as WORLD BEE DAY to raise awareness of the importance of bees and other pollinators, the threats they face and their contribution to sustainable development.

Bees play an important role in relation to the scope of agricultural production. Effective pollination increases the amount of agricultural produce, improves their quality and enhances plants’ resistance to pests.

Cultivated plants that depend on pollination are an important source of income to farmers. They provide jobs and income to millions of people. But of late, Bees have become increasingly endangered. There are various factors affecting their population such as  viral or mite infection of bees, use of pesticides, pollution, urbanization etc. Needless to say this poses a great threat to global agriculture.

We can help bees by
- buying local honey
- having a Bee friendly garden
- buy Bee friendly food, like Organic
- become a bee keeper

Back to the hop now,

Rainbow Stenciling with Tubby Craft

Hi Friends,

This is my second card for Tubby Craft.I have worked with simple techniques of stenciling and stamping for this card.

I am using Checkered Stencil for the background .I have used rainbow colors from Tubby Craft Dye ink collection to put them on paper using blending brushes.

I masked the center with a circle die cut before applying inks to the card base. Once stenciled background is ready,I removed the mask and stamped sentiment from Lucky Quote stamp in Black Dye ink. My one layer card looks awesome.

I embellished my card with some rainbow cup sequins.

Hope you liked both the cards.
