Box Card, Sugarpea Designs, Guest Designing

HI Friends, It's Anushree here again as a guest on the SugarPea Blog with my third card for the month.

I am quiet excited today as I have made a Box card using the cutest stamp set Captain of My Heart and combined it with Treasure Map stencil.

To make my card, first I started making the box frame. I took a Green Cardstock and cut it to 2" x12" and scored on 2", 4", 8", 10" in order. This makes the front lower portion for my card.

Next I cut 4 strips of  4 1/2" x 1/2". Score each strip on the sides at 1/4" and glue them one after another like stacking them on the sides.

From the top view, these strips will be aligned horizontally leaving a gap of 1/4" between each.

Next I took a Kraft cardstock of size 5 1/2" x 4" and distressed the edges in Vintage Photo distress ink. I used a white card stock and stencilled Treasure Map, I have tried some pencil shading on the edges of the stencilled image to provide some depth to it. I have fussy cut the map to adhere on Kraft cardstock base. After that I attached this piece to the back joining the lower green cardstock.

I stamped the images on Neenah Cardstock in Memento Black Tuxedo ink and colored in Copics.

Everything as seen in the pictures using clear glue and foam tape.

Lastly I heat embossed the sentiment in white powder on red cardstock with size 3 1/4" x 1 1/4" and attached it on Kraft cardstock size 3 3/4" x 1 1/2". I adhered this to the main card base.

My card folds flat and fits well in 5 1/2" x 6 1/2" envelope and that also makes it easy to post.

Hope you enjoyed this card. I understand the card is bit complicated due to measurements but it's truly fun to try something like this.

See you next Monday with another fun inspiration, till then happy crafting !!

Hugs,Anushree

Just Called To Say !! Guest Design for SugarPea Designs

Hi Friends,

Anushree here and I am back with my second card for the month which I made as Guest Designer for SugarPea Designs Blog ! I have tried a bit of stencilling, some die cutting and loads of stamping for this card.

To make my card, I took a white card base of  5"x 7" . Next I took a 4.75"x 6.75" Neenah Solar White cardstock and ink blended Shaded Lilac, Spun sugar and Cracked Pistachio distress inks in the background.

I cut a wave pattern on a separate sheet and used that to mask my area leaving space in the middle. In this middle space, I stencilled Cute Hearts in Picked Raspberry distress ink.

I used Vintage Telephone Die to cut out shapes in various shades of teal, blue and pink on coloured cardstock. Then I arranged all using clear glue and foam tape.

I had super fun combining Fall Fox stamp set to this telephone themed card. They look so cute and fitted so well on my card. I stamped these foxes on a separate paper, inked in Memento Tuxedo Black  and coloured in Copics. Next I arranged them on my card as seen.

I stamped the sentiment in black using Versafine Onyx from Call Me stamp set. This stamp set has some lovely sentiments.

I had super fun making this card and using all these beautiful products from SugarPea Designs. Hope you liked it too.

See you next week with another fun inspiration !! Till then Happy Crafting !!

Guest Design for SugarPea Designs

 Hi Everyone !!

I am super excited sharing this news with you all that I am Guest Designing for SugarPea Designs Blog for the month of December. Each week I will be sharing a new inspiration using their fabulous products.

So let's get started, today I am sharing my first card and it has to be florals. Floral stamps are my all time favourites and this one from SugarPea Designs Friendship Blooms Stamp set is just so gorgeous. I really liked the set as it has so many options with big and small flowers, leaves along with some fabulous sentiments.

Picture 1

To create my card, I first took Neenah Solar White paper in A2 size 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" and masked it completely leaving a circle cut out in the centre. I stencilled that circle in Leaf Canopy Stencil using Cracked Pistachio and Mermaid Lagoon distress inks. After that I removed my mask and now I have a beautiful leafy circle. Next I scored some diagonal lines on the same paper but from the back side of it to get raised lines on the front side as seen in my card.

I stamped floral images on a separate Neenah Solar white cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured them in Copic Markers. I used RV02, RV04,RV09,Y08,Y35,YR04,YR09,YG25 and G07 shades of Copic Markers. Then I die cut them using coordinating Sugarcut Friendship Blooms dies and started arranging around my circle on the left side of the card using clear glue and foam tape.

I took a black cardstock and heat embossed the sentiment in white embossing powder. And adhered that as well using foam tape on the right side of the card.

Lastly I adhered everything on a bigger white card base measuring  6 1/2" x 5 1/4" using foam tape again. I really loved making it. Hope you too enjoyed this colourful and fun card. See you next week with another inspiration !!

Getting Wild With Altenew Washi Tapes -- Tray and Coasters set

 Hi Everyone !!

Today I have something special to share. You all are already aware of my love for paper Crafting, I am also a big time hoarder of  craft supplies.

Some of the amazing stuff from all that is from my favourite most brand ALTENEW. Now for today's project, I have used some of their gorgeous Washi Tapes, but the twist is that I haven't made a card....rather something so interesting and unique.

I have tried this for the first time and I am sure I have to make many more for my friends and family.....all for the reason it's so pretty.

So Now time to reveal, I have made this Tray and Coasters set using Altenew's

* Vibrant Spay Die Cut Tape

* Gold Foil .2 inch Washi Tape

I have got full pictorial for you all in case you wish to try this as well

So firstly cover your base with Gesso, I have used white Gesso here...once that dries up, start adhering the washi tapes in way you want. I have made a straight cut from one side on the tape to align it to the tray.

I used a waste card to apply it smoothly and bubble free to the surface. Post that I adhered Gold tape inside the tray and also on the top edges. I repeated the process with the coasters.

I sealed the inside of the tray and Coasters with clear Resin. The top handle portion of the tray is sealed in Mod Podge Decoupage Glue and Varnish.

I have covered coasters edges in liquid gold.

And that completes my tray and coasters. I did this in stages and it took me 3 days to complete it. Resin takes 24 hours to cure completely.

Sharing some more pictures of my work

This set really looks so festive....I loved making it.

Hope you enjoyed it too.
